When we think of roasting, coffee comes to mind, but roasting is the most important job for sesame as well.
Roasting is the process of giving life to sesame seeds by heating them to bring out their flavor and aroma.
Etsuji Wada, the fourth generation, has been roasting sesame seeds for more than 40 years, from 8:00 in the morning to 9:00 at night, more than anyone else in the world. He is still active in this business.

We have been growing our own sesame seeds in the fields of Nara Prefecture since 2010 in order to practice the Farm to Table concept of growing, processing, and selling sesame seeds. In 2010, we started growing our own sesame seeds in the fields of Nara Prefecture.

We try to use the most eco-friendly cultivation methods possible to create products that can be sustainably cultivated, processed, and sold, and to offer them to our customers in a humble and unpretentious manner. With this in mind, I am planning to sell more than 100 kinds of sesame seeds at my store, which is a renovated 210-year-old storehouse, and hold cooking classes and concerts to convey the appeal of eating the real thing.
